Discover the fascinating history and bird life of Albufera de Valencia.

We will do a journey through the natural and cultural history of the area, focusing on how Albufera de Valencia has been transformed up to nowadays. We will then turn our attention to the bird life of this internationally important wetland.

Trip

  • Trip duration: Approximately 4 hours

  • Meeting point: El Saler Village

This trip will include four different stops providing great views of a wide range of ecosystems:

  • The dunes system and the Mediterranean Sea

  • The rice paddies

  • The Mediterranean forest and visitor center

  • A brackish water lake beside the sea

Species

We will enjoy fantastic views of Albufera´s classic bird species… Black-winged Stilt, Black-necked Grebe, Audouin’s Gull, Greater Flamingo.

Landscape

At the same time, we will discover the extremely important role of this natural park in terms of bird conservation. We will see first-hand, how the rice year-long cycle affects the wildlife of the region throughout the different seasons.

Our pricing rate is designed to afford maximum value across all group sizes, smaller groups or even individuals, whilst still offering fair and competitive rates for larger groups.

Bikes

You may can join trip with your own bike or we can provide you one at the meeting point.

Rental bike rate is 10€ (not included), it can be provided at the meeting point, advanced booking is requested.
